Vibrations are observed in various machines and buildings. Usually vibrations are undesirable because they can be a cause of machines breaking or damage of buildings, they are the source of additional noise. It is important for students of mechanics specialization to acquire the basic knowledge of vibrations measurement and methods of data analysis. Computerized system for vibrations measurement and algorithms for analysis of vibrosignal are presented in this paper. The vibration measurement system includes accelerometers or displacement sensors, amplifier for sensor signal amplification and signal integrator for apparatus calculation of vibrational speed and displacement, data acquisition device and personal computer. The vibration signals are analyzed in frequency and in time domain by estimating spectral distribution, statistics, RMS for different time intervals of vibration signal. Examples of results of vibration measurement and data analysis in buildings and machines with rotating parts are included also. The software used for data acquisition is “ebiol’LT” and for data analysis it is Origin 7.0.
