Optimisation the workflow in a hybrid digital photogrammetric system for production of geodata from aerial photographs
Abstract
The up-to-date photogrammetric mapping technologies are in practically almost fully digital or half-digital. Several production lines may be used simultaneously for getting geodata from aerial photographs. The desire is to increase efficiency of mapping through computer automation of procedures. The advantage of new methods and technology has to be taken into account as well. The objective of research is the integration of two digital photogrammetric systems developing flexible digital mapping from aerial photographs workflow. Running two digital photogrammetric mapping systems the experimental set up have been establish for generation 3D geodata. The obtained results were evaluated according to functionalities, capabilities of interpretability, time duration and accuracy. The efficiency of digital aerial triangulation has been achieved only after manual intervention because of dense urban area on the test field (scanned with 14 µm pixel size aerial photographs at a large scale 1:6000). On the base of investigation results the optimized photogrammetric mapping workflow in hybrid system has been developed that leads to application for image digital processing.
