The creation of three dimensional (3D) engineering constructions (anti-fire reservoir) from digital images by means of two different PC programs is being explained in this article. Digital images for the analysis were taken by the metric digital camera Canon EOS 350D. The ground coordination of object was performed using geodetic instrument – geodetic total station (TCR 1105). The image processing was accomplished by means of two different commercial photogrammetric software systems: PhotoModeler and PhotoMod with further comparison of the obtained results. Since camera calibration feature is incorporated in PhotoModeler software, both the calibration of Canon EOS 350D and the images processing was performed with the same program. However the PhotoMod software does not include the camera calibration option therefore for image processing using PhotoMod the same Canon EOS 350D camera was calibrated by means of Tcc (Photogrammetric Institute of Bonn University) special program which uses the polynomial of Chebishev. Further 3D point cloud collection was performed with divergent camera parameters and images processing. The analysis and comparison of data received by two different photogrammetric systems was made using the Imageware and Unigrahics CAD software.
