A low-cost gaseous discharge from phenol and formaldehyde decontamination method is offered for the mineral wool industry. Its implementation requires a special phenol and formaldehyde chemically combining agent and catalyst. The gaseous discharge is cleansed by passing it through a fibber material filter, which is periodically sprayed with a phenol arid formaldehyde neutralising solution.
