The advanced Ackerman steering system of a full trailer
Abstract
A full trailer has at least two axles in which the front axle is connected through a drawbar to the tractor. The steering mechanism is driven mechanically by a drawbar. In the Ackerman steering system the wheels turn around a king pill axis and the axle is fixed to the body through a Suspension. At low speed is the Ackerman steering geometry satisfies if the wheels follow curved paths with different turning radius originating a common turn centre. The advanced Ackerman steering system of a full trailer which satisfies the Ackerman steering geometry in different turning radius has been discussed in the presented paper.
