A comparison of passive and semi-active mathemtical car models
Abstract
The main focus of this article is to provide background for mathematical model of a quarter, half and full car model. The dynamic model, which can describes the relationship between the input and output, enables ones to understand the behavior of the system. Firstly, article will present quarter car models of passive and semi-active suspension. Then, it will continue with half-car and full car models of passive and semi-active suspension. In this article the suspension system is modeled as a linear suspension system. In order to obtain linear model, roll and pitch angles are assume to be small.
