3D surface reconstruction from unstructured point clouds is a very important technique in today's engineering, manufacturing and visualization. Different point clouds are obtained from various digitizing systems: laser scan devices, conoscopic holography, stereoscopic systems, etc. This article discuses three different, surface reconstruction from unstructured point clouds, algorithms. All discussed algorithms are based on same theoretical approach developed by Nina Amenta et al. There are given an overview of theoretical background, short descriptions of algorithms and experimental surface reconstruction results.
