Abstract
This paper presents a thermal comparative study of four types of glass that was been conducted in both summer and winter: simple glass SiO2, dioxide of vanadium un-doped glass, vanadium dioxide glass doped with 3 % tungsten and 5 % tungsten. These types of glass contain thermo-chrome materials that can reduce the energy consumption of buildings by reducing the transmission coefficient in summer and increasing it in winter. In order to achieve this, a solar model has been established to show the effect of these windows under the weather conditions of Fez.
