The present work employs an approximation formula, allowing, with accuracy sufficient for technical calculations, computing value of coefficient of compressibility of actual gas at given temperature and pressure. The present mathematical model can also be used as a constituent of a more complete mathematical model of spatial vibrations of railway vehicles, where pneumatic shock absorbers and vibration dampers are used.
