Diagnostics of rope using dynamic methods
Abstract
Diagnostics of ropes for transportation system is necessary as routine technical procedure. Particularly important is check for a broken strand in rope. Detection of broken strands is technically sophisticated and usually uses expensive equipment and requires high personnel skills. Proposed method is based on dynamical properties of rope, which is treated as dynamic system and change of these properties indicates rope quality change. There are one of methods proposed for a rope control. Finally, results and recommendations are given.
