Development multiple criteria model for complex quality evaluation of distance learning programs using a decision support system
Abstract
The aim of this paper is to represent a Multiple criteria model for complex quality evaluation of distance learning programs using a decision support system. The authors have development this model on the basis of the best global experience and their own long experience in the area of distance education accumulated since 1996. The main ideas of this Model authors implemented in the methodology prepared for Lithuanian Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education. The Model is based on modern information and telecommunication technologies. The model rests on an integrated system of criteria, indicators and standards. The model was tested during pilot practical assessments in Lithuanian establishments of higher education.
