Quality control information systems
Abstract
As the number of certificated quality management systems keeps increasing, it is obvious that quality management and quality control remains a topical issue for the companies. However, while improving quality companies are facing another problem – knowledge becomes more significant as well as its influence to business development. In order to manage the development which includes increasing amount of information and knowledge, companies must use information systems. Although information systems are widely analyzed in scientific publications and their creators are emphasizing their functionality and benefits, they seldom conduct studies on information systems which solve particular issues in relation to quality control. This article analyzes information systems, their classification and introduces a model of classification of quality control information systems, disclosing the information systems which might be used in quality control area.
