Evaluation of speedometer errors for used cars
Santrauka
In cars, for measurement of their running speed there are mounted Special devices, known as speedometers. As all technical installations they are not ideal ones and their indications are erroneous. Precision of speedometer indications depends on many sporadic and systematic factors: the class of precision, parameters of the speedometer kinematic chain (e.g., pair of gears to the device), transmission units and gaps in joins and so on. This paper presents experimental research of evaluation of speedometer precision (errors for some used cars). Sixteen used (technically trim) cars of different makes of cars with electronic Speedometers were tested. The gained information can be used in examination of traffic accidents, factual speed of a car and, in general, reliability of car speedometers.
