Fungal peroxidase-catalysed naphthols oxidation
Abstract
rCiP peroxidase catalysed 1-naphthol and 2-naphthol oxidation. The products of oxidation were compounds which didn't show fluorescence. The naphthols oxidation was associated with enzyme inactivation. The hypothesis was made that intermediate formed during naphthols oxidation may act as peroxidase inactivating reagent. Albumins prevented peroxidace inactivation concurrently reacting with reactive intermediates.[...].
