Impact of public logistic centre establishment on freight transport external costs

Abstract
According to European Union policy when evaluating effectiveness of estblishing new infrastructure object it is important to evluate not only internal cost but also external costs related to establishment of anew object. Evaluation of external costs helps to measure the impact of new infrastructure object establishment on society. In this article the change of external cost of foreign transport after establishing public logistic centre is being evaluated by using the example of Vilnius Public Logistic Centre, The general types of external costs include accidents and environmental costs. As aresult of calculation the percentage change of external cost after establishing public logistic center is given.
