Nowadays there are passed many EU directives and documents aimed to stimulate development of renewable energy resources and reduction of energy demand in living houses. On another hand, energy efficient buildings in legal acts are described very broadly and their parameters vary in wide range. There are no unified methodology to evaluate building energy demand at its design and pre-operation (energy performance certification) stages as well. The analysis on comparison of legal methodologies for evaluation of building energy demand and building energy performance is made by the authors and presented in this paper. Imperfections of technical regulations and possible improvements are presented here as well.
