Computational probabilistic design of time-dependent stability of steel beams

Abstract

The reasonability of using probobility-based approaches in the analysis o rolled and welded beams exposed to lateral torsional buckling is described. Buckling resisting momemts and their uncertainties for rolled and equivalent welded flanged steel sections as particular members are analyzed. Time-dependent statistics of resisting and destructive bending moments of steel beams are considered and their features are found. [...]
