Abstract
This paper presents closed loop scalar speed control of 4 kW induction motor (IM) drive. IM are characterized by highly non-linear and time-varying dynamics. To solve this problem hardware in the loop (HIL) control technique is used. H1L environment is integrated into a Simulink real time simulation. Used control method provides a reasonable degree of accuracy which can be observed from obtained results. Simulink model with proportional-integral-derivative (PID) and PI controller is proposed. During the investigation motor was loaded. The investigation results, presented in this paper, show the effectiveness of the used technique.
