Environmental noise management directive 2002/49/EC bring obligation to express noise limit values at least in terms of two different indicators: LDEN and Z.nlghf Additionally member states may use supplementary noise indicators. Between existing noise indicators in national legislation ^Amax is widely applicable. Looking to develop single-number rating of aircraft noise in vicinity of airports the comparison study of these three indicators applicable for estimation noise impact near low intensity airports was carried out. By ISO 1996-2 standard the equivalent levels shall, when it possible, to be determined from exposure levels (Z-AE) measurements of individual fly-bys. The statistical assessment for a set of LAE and LAmax data was suggested to implement this approach. For data analysis the histograms of Z-AE and Z-Amax levels distribution densities were applied. Result of such estimations helps/simplifies to take into account the impact of flights intensity on the environmental noise pollution. It's shown, that knight and Z,Amax descriptors shows bigger environmental noise pollution than estimated under Z,DEN value.
