Development of Lithuanian national geodetic vertical first order network

Abstract
National Geodetic Vertical First Order Network of Lithuanian was finished in the year 2006. Network allowed creating a new geodetic height system and geodetic height background which fulfils modern standards requirements. Two levelling lines Kybartai – Vištytis – Polish border and Veisiejai – Polish border were established and measured in 2008 to connect it to European vertical network. Digital level DiNi 12, coded staffs LD 13, GPS receivers and gravimeters La Coste & Romberg for gravimetric data estimation were used for new network lines measurements. The requirement for measured height differences rms errors not exceeding 0,5 mm/km was fulfilled during vertical network establishment process. Data of new vertical network lines, method of network observations and results of normal height differences adjustment and accuracy estimation are presented in the paper.
