Abstract
The investigation results of magnetic fields induced by compact fluorescent lamp electronic ballasts are presented. For the investigation the high definition audio system of portable personal computer and software tools developed in the MATLAB® program package environment were applied. The experiments have shown that the intensity of magnetic fields induced by compact fluorescent lamp electronic ballasts is significantly higher than that magnetic field of incandescent lamp of the same brightness. The spectrums of magnetic fields induced by compact fluorescent lamp electronic ballasts are wide, discrete and ranges up to about 48 kHz. The magnetic field is distributed not uniformly and its largest intensity is at the one side of the compact fluorescent lamp.
