The paper presents the investigation of mechanical properties and strength to fatigue crack propagation of cast iron considering the thermal treatment, which had been produced according to the large dimension mineral mining devices. The structure of cast iron generally consists of flake and nodular graphite surrounded by feritic-pearlitic matrices. The thermal treatment had changed the structure which however has irregular character. The mechanical propeties have been established. The threshold had increased after thermal treatment.
