The article deals with the possibilities of large-scale (1:1000 - 1:2000) orthophotograph mapping for urban areas, compilation of color orthophotograph maps applying latest technologies. Technological specifications and data of accuracy have been submitted, aerial photograph compilation parameters have been recommended. The review of the aerial photograph scanning has been presented, the most suitable size of pixel size and accuracy of geometric scanning have been suggested. The variants of aerial triangulation, step size of digital terrain model compilation as well as accuracy and peculiarities of orthophotomap production have been introduced.
