Active lightning termination

Abstract

The present paper deals with comparatively new lightning protection measure - active lightning termination. It explains action of different types of termination, which are known as Early Streamer Emission (ESE) air terminals. There are taken several types of ESE systems, evaluation of their protected volume. Experience of Lithuania in employment ESE lightining rods is described. The opinion of scientists opposition ESE lightning rods is described too.
