Substantiation of investments planning into Lithuania inland water transport infrastructure

Abstract
The major causes of investment into water transport infrastructure are related with riskiness to the climatic instability and transportation seasonality, lack of clearly defined and accurate information on the overall processes of goods and passengers transportation by inland waterways, absence of objective information due to inconsequent market research as regards interpretation of economic and other aspects. For the evaluation of investments assessment to the water transport infrastructure main objects the comparative multiple criteria methodology with reference to state the inland water transport development strategy must be used. Economy based substantiation of the optimal choice from all possible variants when solving specific tasks of the inland water transport infrastructure development depends on the economic expedience of the constructed subjects.
