Eismo organizavimo priemonių naudojimas aplinkos apsaugoje
Abstract
The aim of the analysis is to show how traffic organization tools can be used in environment protection. A number of cars is growing very fast in Lithuania. Using modern technologies is possible to avoid traffic jams and environmental damages in our biggest cities. One of the solutions is to optimize traffic lights' cycles and phases. Shorter vehicles are standing in the junctions lesser noxious materials fall to environment. Program aaSidra can help to implement this. This program calculates optimal traffic lights' cycles and emissions of CO, CO-z and N0^ in the junctions. During the test were measured traffic flows, traffic lights' cycles and width of approaches of the Pylimo - Traku_-J. Basanaviciaus streets'junction in Vilnius. All collected data was processed with aaSidra program. The result of the analysis is that present 50s duration cycle is not optimal. More effective cycle duration is 61s.
