Abstract
The errors that appear due to unparallelism of axes of distance measuring instruments are discussed in the article. The presented formulae are used for eliminating those errors. The main axes of the instruments can be situated in various positions relative to each other in accordance with the features of the design. Their position has to be assessed while measuring and evaluating the results. The main purpose of this work is to submit the proposals for evaluating unparallelism of the main axes of distant measuring instruments. The formulae presented will be used for further research work. The calculations will be performed by using both conventional methods of assessment and the latest ones. The calculations prove that the new methods appear to be more accurate for the purpose.
