Analysis and evaluation of effectiveness of speed calming measures in Lithuanian state roads

Abstract

The article gives a study of the effect of driving speed on road traffic safety, generalizes special investigations of driving speeds in Lithuania and describes the results of implementing automated speed enforcement systems and vertical traffic calming measures. Accident rate results after implementation of considered road safety measures are presented.
