Bandymas įdiegti "Clivus multrum" Lietuvoje
Abstract
The "clivus multrum" composting toilet systems were first developed in Sweden in the 1930s. While plenty of companies and individual users in industrial west countries have understood the usefulness of such conversion of organic waste, this waste disposal approach is still new at Lithuania. The paper presents the composting toilet system that was implemented in one family house in Lithuania The composting toilet was designed and constructed using "clivus multrum" concept, but with some improvements. The constructed composting toilet uses in 'input" similar low stream WC with output on its bottom. The chute for collecting organic waste from the garden and the kitchen is doubled with the ventilation pipe. For better aeration of the composting substance the stainless steel net is applied.
