Abstract
There is an increasing gap between the action of urban planning and architecture professionals' and the public briefing. During this transitional period, it is important to seek not only the maximum quality of urban planning and architecture, but also to educate and inform the society about their goals and ongoing processes, by involving the modern means of information spreading. A substantial role in this process could be played by a new Architecture and Urban planning (VIA) Centre/Museum of Vilnius city that would be built on a base of experience of foreign modern info-centers and of Lithuanian urban planners" and architects' progressive scientific works. The central museum' aim should be to mediate architecture as a cultural discipline, as an everyday phenomenon and as a complex process The conceptual sketch of the U/A center/museum exposition is shown in the article.
