Lightning strike protection for aircraft

In this paper the survey of studies on lightning strikes into aircrafts and their protection is done. Specially equipped aircrafts have provided flights into thunderstorms and collected statistics on lightning strikes. There are standards for lightning current components and aircraft zoning, lightning environment and related test waveforms. The paper does not analyze mechanisms of lightning-aircraft interaction, but involves practical material which can be interesting for growing Lithuanian aviation.
