Paper and flexographic and inkjet prints mechanical properties were investigated experimentally. Flexographic and inkjet prints roughness, breaking force and folding resistance values were determined. The results showed that prints folding resistance is higher in machine direction than in cross direction. Similarly behaves the breaking force. It was found that roughness of prints increases with the amount of ink on the prints. Observed effects are explained taking into account the water influence on the interaction of paper fibres.
