This paper analyzes the accuracy of high-precision angle calibration system. Presented system consists of: a precision air bearings spindle, angular measuring system mounted directly to the spindle shaft, specially designed rotation mechanism, which does not induce radial and axial errors. Techniques of calibration and equipment are described. Two methods of the calibration accuracy of the measurement system angular error are compared - using three different measures of angles (polygons) and method without reference standard. The experimental results are presented, their statistical analysis is carried out, high-precision angular system and systematic and random errors of calibration techniques are measured and analyzed. Error-reduction methods and tools are proposed.
