Asfaltbetonio mišinių gamybos problemos Lietuvoje
Abstract
Quality of asphalt concrete mixtures produced at the factories under Ministry of Communication of the Republic of Lithuania was gradually improving during the period of 1986-1990, but it did not reach the recommended 95% level Since 1989 worsening of asphalt concrete mix quality has been observed which is caused by the following objective reasons: • low quality materials (bitumen, first of all) used for production of asphalt concrete mixtures; • use of out-of-date, both physically and morally worn out technologic equipment. During the last few years Lithuanian road builders have started using bitumen for road construction and repair works from Sweden (firm “NYNAS”). Joint-stock road construction companies have started modernizating of asphalt concrete plant equipment. Possible solutions of these problems, old asphalt concrete plants modernization variants and planing effects are shown. It is believed that it will help to improve quality of asphalt concrete mixtures and condition of roads in Lithuania.
