Inovatyvūs betono moduliai pėsčiųjų ir dviračių takams bei šaligatviams
Santrauka
Thin (5 cm in thickness) prefabricated cement concrete slabs with 7 different textures were developed and constructed in 21 m length pedestrian path in Vilnius city. It is the first step in application of concrete modular pavements also known as precast concrete pavements in Lithuania. Each concrete slab is 1.0 in length and 1.5 m in width without reinforcement for transportation and handling. The slab dimensions were selected considering not only predominant loads, but also extraction from precasting moulds, transportation to project site and handling with vacuum lift. The required bearing capacity and resistance to cracking during transportation and handling were achieved by using synthetic micro and macro fibres, All slabs were constructed side by side in one line on the existing pedestrian pathway removing old degraded concrete blocks. The joints between two adjacent slabs were filled with granite screenings. This trial section of concrete modular pavement for pedestrian path will show the most promising textures what one of the most important factor designing pedestrian and bicycles paths in urban areas. The next goal is to develop concrete modular pavement for roads and streets. It the outcome from project *'Modular pavements\" that has received funding from the European Regional Development Fund (project No 01.2.2-LMT-K-718-01-0044) under grant agreement with the Research Council of Lithuania (LMTLT).
