Scientometric review of aviaton safety and security

Abstract
Aviation plays a vital role in sustaining continuity of trade, transporting people and c argo, supporting information flow and providing social communication. Based on IATA -2016 report, the demand for global air passenger traffic has grown for the past eigh t years with an average rate of more than 5% per year (Knol, Sharpanskykh, & Janssen, 2019). Growth of this scale puts additional weight to safety and security issues.To obtain a holistic perspective, in this study, we aimed to visualize the multidimensional cognitive domain of aviation safety and security by considering s cientific publications indexed in the Web of Science. We applied the scientometrics methodology to perform co-citation analysis and visualize clusters through keyword co-occurrence networks.
