Analysis of protection of compound walls against atmospheric precipitation
Santrauka
A variety of means of protection of exterior compound walls against rain is analysed in this paper. As compound walls are more complex than single-layer ones, they have more defects, are more subject to damages being especially sensitive to impact of atmospheric precipitation. Thermal conductivity of damp compound walls may exceed many times the conductivity of damp single-layer ones. Means of protection of compound walls against rain used in Lithuania are less effective than those employed in Germany, Denmark, Sweden, etc. Tests revealed that compound walls with ventilated gap at the external layer were the driest and least sensitive to fluctuations in building quality.
