Take care on the method of partial safety factors

Abstract

Expedience to use probabilistic safety methods in design and research practice of structural members exposed to permanent and variable actions is analysed evaluating fixed random process of resistance and non-stationary process of action-effect. Determination of long-term structural safety of new type composite steel-concrete, as well as steel, members resistance, is presented illustrating insufficient universality of the method of partial safety factors.
