The research has been completed at two main firing grounds of Lithuania. Different nature activities and explosion training are performed there. The goal of the research was to find out, if the decrease in organic matter is determined by the type and power of explosive charge, how far from the epicentre the negative impact reveals itself, what conditions have influence on that, etc. The analysis of the gained results has showed the dependence of Soil Organic Matter (SOM) loss not only on the distance from the explosion epicentres, but also on the direction of the explosion wave, which the wind and other factors can influence.
