Simulation of operating parameters for DH networks with varying loading: mathematical model and application
Abstract
DH systems in Lithuania undergo various modernizations aimed to increase its efficiency. Typically, modernizations include the replacement of building heat substations, the reduction of heat losses in pipes and more efficient heat production. It was notified that new heat substations equipped with automatic control devices impact operating parameters of DH networks. Results of hydraulic and thermal simulation allow estimating potential deviation of heat carrier temperature depending on loading variations during the day and night. Specific technical measures can be applied in order to avoid low temperatures resulting violation of heat supply quality requirements.
