Controller for systems affected by the electromagnetic disturbances
Abstract
The EDM resistant controller for the industrial applications has been suggested. The controller is based on the modification of Integral control method with the variable integral constant, which is exponential function of control error. The proposed controller provides more stable operation of the control system as compared to the popular PI controller in the case when the control system is affected by the electromagnetic disturbances. In addition, the suggested controller provides a significantly shorter settling time of the control system response transient in comparison with the case when the conventional integral controller is used. The proposed controller is applied in the frequency converters for automatic control of AC induction motor speed.
