Abstract
This paper presents a modeling of permanent magnet synchronous motor rotor position estimation method based on back electromotive force (EMF) calculation and tracking using Phase Locked Loop method. Field Oriented Control (FOC) scheme of a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) inverter has been designed by using mathematical model of PMSM and also Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation (SVPWM) for voltage source inverter modeling. In this model rotor constant speed is controlled by adjusting motor currents. In developed model all inverter currents and voltages can be easily monitored. Simulation indicate that the designed method for sensorless can obtain good performance characteristics.
