The U.S goverment supports free enterprise and free trade and there is no policy of nationalization or imposition of price or exchange controls. U.S. and foreign investors are treated equally and foreign investors are eligible for available incentives. The federal goverment does not offer tax holidays or credit quarantees, but does offer significant exportlinked incentives. Many state and local goverments offer extensive incentives to attract foreign investors. Only few restrictions are imposed on foreign ownership of U.S. corporations. Foreign corporations are able to be listed on securities exchanges and wide range of credit and finacial services also available from domestic and foreign banks operating in the U.S. Capital and earnings may by repatriated.
