Abstract
There are many advantages of using fibre cables instead of copper ones in air navigation services providing companies. They are not necessarily associated with higher costs; in fact, it was saved on cables during the installation, maintenance and operation, which basically means that this solution is not of higher price and may even be of a better value. For a local area network (LAN), fibre is commonly used in the primary and secondary levels. Universal fibre and multimode fibre cables (OM3OM4) or single-mode fibre cables are generally used in cable-laying works. On the other hand, a tertiary cabling system on the same floor rarely applies fibre cables. A main for fibre-to-the-office (FTTO) and fibre-to-the-desk (FTTD) solutions has declined after its short boom in the late 90's.
