Abstract
Nowadays business processes (BP) are dynamic by their nature and affected by dynamically changing environment. However, traditional approaches and tools used to model, simulate and implement BP no longer covers the actual needs of the business, which should be dynamic. Moreover, business needs tools, which support such dynamic BP modelling and simulation. The authors of this paper propose an approach for rule-based dynamic BP modelling and simulation and architecture for dynamic BP modelling and simulation tool. Authors of this paper also present a description of the prototype developed according to the proposed architecture. A case study was carried out using this prototype, and it shows correspondence of the obtained results to the needs of the dynamically changing business.
