dc.description.abstractElectroporation is widely used in various biomedical and biotechnological applications, while homogeneous electric fields are usually required for successful treatment. In this work, a model of electroporation cuvette with integrated center electrode for generation of high gradient electric fields is analyzed using finite element method (FEM) simulations. Such a configuration potentially enables induction of dielectrophoretic force inside the effective volume of the cuvette before or after the high-power electroporation pulses. The results may be useful in further development of electrotransfer methods based on high frequency electric fields.eng
