Abstract
Investigations were conducted with refractory concrete containing sodium silicate various density and silica sand. The concrete specimen compression strength, density, deformation and destruction properties, thermal shock resistance after firing at various temperatures up to 900° C was determined. An appraisal of sodium glass density influence on concrete is given. Testing results show, that chamotte sand changed by silica sand the strength is 20-40% lower. Better concrete properties received with sodium silicate 1,25 g/cm3 density in comparison with sodium silicate density 1,38 g/cm3.
