dc.description.abstractThe paper explores the meaning of value chain framework as an approach which leads to strategic principles incorporation in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) management. The value chain viewpoint is specifically composed for breaking down the sequence of value creation process in HEIs. The value chain framework highlights how the higher education institution’s activities fit into the stakeholders’ value chain. In the first part of the paper value chain perception is explained in pursuance to adopt value chain components from business environment towards HEIs management. In the second part, the main cost drivers regarding value chain activities in HEIs are recognized and the conceptual model of value creation within incorporated value chain is suggested. Value chain is represented as one of the most crucial parts in overall value creation process and can become usefull tool addressing the challenges encountered in HEIs management.en_US
