dc.description.abstract | Results of experimental investigation of electric apical constriction locator with two excitation frequencies, which has been developed in Lithuania are presented. The lower frequency signal is used for compensation of the canal impedance variation when different liquids for canal processing are used. The obtained results show that the distance to the apical constriction can be reliably determined. The measurement errors are smaller when less liquid is in the canal. Therefore the errors are smaller in narrow and small canals and when instruments that more fully fill the canal interior are used. In any measurement series of the same distance composed of 50 measurements the deviation was no greater than ±0,4%. This corresponds to ± 0,06 mm distance in the canal. | en_US |
