dc.description.abstract | The properly adjust traffic lights have a significant impact on traffic flow dynamics. At the same time the traffic flows have a significant impact on the environment and especially significant is the noise. This article presents the different effect of traffic lights switching period to the results of traffic flow dynamics. Results were achieved by using discrete model of traffic flow. For the modelling a line of road marking its points with the traffic lights is created. For the traffic lights the appropriate switching period was determined. Results presents the simulated dynamic of traffic flows also determining the variation of the velocity, flow, density and the total number of vehicles. The results can help to determine the most appropriate traffic lights switching periods for the dynamics of traffic flows. | en_US |
